Oh well.

No love lost.

Jun. 2nd, 2009

My pop was an amazing incredible man.
To know him, was to love him. If you were meeting him for the first time
you were getting a kiss and a hug. He was so warm and loving. So strong.
The Patriarch of The Covotta Family.
So many people are feeling the immense sadness of his loss.
Death will find us all but no one was prepared for this.
It was too soon, but I suppose it always would have been.

I will miss him with all my heart.
His smile, voice, his hugs and  double or triple kisses, the scent of his cologne,
his amazing love and pride in all of us.

Everytime I saw him he told me how much he loved me.

I am so thankful I got the chance to say goodbye on Sunday, when he was still awake.
I said, "I love you so much Pop." And he told me, " I love you to Mon...how's the baby?".

A family man until the end.
The greatest man I'll ever know.

I love you Pop.

Today.

It feels like Fall. Oh how I wish it were.

Me, Melis and Ash
in line at a haunted hayride
on my birthday last year...
:)

Allison.
You have no choice.
You are coming this year.

Almost Mommy's Day.

I sit hear after singing 'twinkle twinkle litter star' literally 25 times in a row while I rubbed my baby's back to get her to sleep because she was extremely over-exhausted and sick. This was after I had to pin her down in a wrestling move hold and pry open her mouth to inject tylenol down her throat, which was AFTER she had a 15 minute tantrum because I took off her flip flops. Phew.

I wouldn't have it anyother way. I would sing twinkle twinkle little star 100 more times. Being a mom is so challenging, because you just constantly want to do your best and when you don't- when a yell slips out a little too loud and your child's lip juts out and her eyes well up- you could pretty much die from sadness.

Ella and I went to Target tonight to get some Mother's Day's gifts. I have to say it's a lot having divorced and remarried parents, but we're lucky to have so many great woman to celebrate. Gifts and cards for my mama, ryan's, my step-mom, my dad's mom, and ryan's mom's mom and a few odds and ends put me $245 in debt.

But I ADORE giving gifts so I don't mind one bit!
I wish I could have bought another gift,
and I would have if my nana was still alive....
I miss her soooo much.

I bought charged  a big red Paula Dean skillet for Ryan's mom, a pretty canvas beach bag for my step-mom Lucia,
F A M I LY in pretty blocks for Ryan's mom-mom and this for my mom-mom (dad's mom):

For my Mama:

this to-die-for vase, is actually a white ceramic kitchen utencil holder
(which I have GOT to go back and get for myslef)
and as soon as I saw that collander, I had to get it for my mom.
She keeps raving about mine for some reason. I love hers more
maybe I'll keep this and give her the one she's been raving about:)
Jusssst keeeding.

And...I am a fiend for white ceramic anything... so I couldn't resist
these little ranekins for myself. Only $1.99 ea.

Tomorow we're going to Ryan's mom's for breakfast (in deleware) then Ryan has to work :(
and Ella and I are going to my mom's (triplet) Aunt Janet's
in North East Philly for a bar b q. Lots of driving but it'll be great an added bonus when
we leave Ryan's mom's it'll be time for Ella's nap so she'll have a good hour and a half or so for that.

I hope everyone has a nice Mother's Day.
Whether you are a mom or have a speacial lady in your life.

"Mommy can I touch your hair? Oooooooh you're so beautiful Mommy!"

So precious, especially since I am sickly and look haggard.
My goodness she is the sweetest!

I need a new purse. The one I have is too monsterous and floppy. I need one not too big, but not to small... I need to be able to toss some diapers in when I feel like being risky sans diaper bag and with enough comparments to satisfy my need to have lip gloss and gum and coupons (dork) seperate... and to be cute obviously.

THIS is what I'm thinking about at 12:55 am?

G'night!

Grainy...
